The ThanksAmerica brand was launched on October 3rd 2013 with a single mission in mind: To help those with special physical needs interact in the world around them with seamless ease and richer satisfaction. Adaptive Technology (AT) was the bedrock of this mission and very soon, ThanksAmerica founder and President Girmay Micael began sharing his AT expertise with those in need. Since that time, Girmay has provided hands-on consultative services for some of Seattle’s most prominent organizations seeking to advance their AT programs. He continues working tirelessly to develop customized AT training for classroom settings as well as one-on-one coaching for those students who need more attention. Girmay has even been known to offer pro bono consultation to under-resourced communities, never compromising on his exceptional service standards.

The Thanks America web site is dedicated to empowering people with special needs, visually impaired community and immigrants by informing them available Resources, Employment Opportunities, Technologies, Laws and Regulations that impacts people with vision loss to become more independent and productive that leads to a better quality of life. Thanks America raises public awareness about blindness and blindness related issues through Outreach Activities, Education, and Advocacy.

However, these businesses haven’t declared formal closure of a business in which the state it was licensed to operate. Hanse, the registered business might be seen as active through the eyes of the state of Washington because the business hasn't not file articles of dissolution; therefore, the state will continue to see the business as active.
